A woman was found walking through a quiet Poconos neighborhood, drenched in blood, moments after stabbing an 71-year-old man in the face and chest and assaulting a police officer, authorities announced on Tuesday, July 22.
Colleen B. Hall, 56, of Tobyhanna, launched a brutal, unprovoked attack on the elderly man she lived with at a home on Starlight Terrace around 9:50 p.m. on Monday, July 21, according to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.

Vineland Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing: Prosecutor
A 27-year-old Vineland resident was arrested and charged with fatally stabbing a man, authorities announced Tuesday, July 15.
At 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 14, Vineland police responded to 771 South East Ave. and found Ronald Shields, 67, with numerous stab wounds, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
Shields was airlifted to an Atlantic City hospital where he was pronounced dead soon after, Webb-McRae said.
Jayron Thomas was located a short distance away from the scene and charged with murder, multiple weapons offenses and tampering with evidence, Webb-McRae said.

A 63-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing a woman in a violent attack in Orange County, police said.
The incident happened around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, when officers responded to a report of a stabbing near 73 Bridge St. in Newburgh, according to the City of Newburgh Police Department.
